Thank you for joining us for our time of corporate worship here at Chapel City Church. When Jesus promised to build his church, he also gave us a picture of what that would look like. From the birth of the church in the book of Acts, the priorities of God’s people have remained constant. As we move into chapter 6, there is a new potential for division in the church. This threat is not external in the form of persecution, but internal in the threat of division. How does leadership respond to crisis within the church? What priorities guide those who are entrusted with leadership? What qualities and characteristics should be present in those charged with leading Christ’s church? We would love to answer any questions that you have, or to hear about ways that we can be praying for you.
Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.
