Good morning and welcome to Chapel City Church! We live in a world that pursues greatness at any cost. Whether it’s the desire to be great in business, great in politics, or great in sports, the draw is always there. As we move into Matthew 18, the disciples ask Jesus what it will mean to be great in the coming kingdom. His answer is not what they were expecting! His kingdom is not like earthly kingdoms, and greatness in this kingdom will not look like greatness in the world. Kingdom greatness is tied to humility. But how does Jesus picture that? What does this have to do with sin? We hope that you are encouraged to grow in your faith as we come to understand the truth of God’s word. If you have questions that we can answer, or if there are ways that we can be praying for you, please reach out and let us know!
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
