What would it be like to actually receive God’s word directly; personally. What a thrill it would be to give out the message that he had given you! As we open some studies on some anonymous spokesmen, we might say “be careful what you wish for.” God’s word is not always gentle falling on our ears as a soothing, comforting message. As we open up the book of Hosea on Sunday we will see God’s staggering message that could have been written for our time and our place; yet in the end we will see the greatness of God’s mercy and kindness.
Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God, and David their king, and they shall come in fear to the LORD and to his goodness in the latter days.” (Hosea 3:5 ESV)
