Prepare Him Room: LOVE

Prepare Him Room: LOVE

We are glad that you have come to worship with us this morning. For those of you who call this home, we are so thankful for you. Your fellowship, your ministry, and your love for one another are some of the greatest earthly gifts that God has given us. For others of you, Christmas and church just seem to go together. Maybe you are here for the sake of tradition, or maybe even out of a sense of obligation or guilt. We trust that the Lord has brought you here today for a reason. And whether this is your first time, or just the latest in a lifetime in this place, the goal is the same- we want to point you to Christ. As we’ve gone through this Advent season, we have been reminded that in Jesus there is hope, peace, and great joy. Today we will be reminded that in Jesus Christ we see the ultimate example of love. Love that was demonstrated as the creator came down to His creation. Love that was willing to take on the nature of man in order to redeem man out of slavery to sin. Love that was demonstrated as the innocent died in the place of the guilty. At Christmas, we celebrate the love of God poured out for us. If you have questions, or if we can be praying for you, please reach out and let us know!

Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Philippians 2:6-8
