Sight, Speech, & the Savior

Sight, Speech, & the Savior

We are glad that you have joined us for worship today. As we work our way through Matthew’s gospel, we have seen a consistent return to the identity of Jesus. Matthew opens with his genealogy, helping us understand that he is the Son of Abraham and the Son of David. At his baptism, we are told by the voice of the Father from heaven that He is the Son of God. Christ repeatedly refers to himself as the Son of Man. But what do His miracles tell us about Him? How does healing the blind, the deaf, the mute, help us to recognize the person and nature of Jesus? And once we do recognize who Jesus is presented as being, the question becomes how will we respond to Him? We hope that through our time of worship through singing and study that you come to an understanding of who Jesus is. More than that, we hope that you will respond to the One who is the King of kings and Lord of lords!

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.

Matthew 9:35
