Spurning Salvation

Spurning Salvation

Thank you for joining us here at Chapel City church for our time of corporate worship. God is holy, and he deserves and demands the worship of the nations. He has shown that he will deal with sin, whether that sin comes from the gentiles or from his people Israel. However, even in the midst of his righteous judgement, God promises and provides the means of salvation. So how does Israel miss that call? What do they pursue in place of genuine repentance and obedience? How can we learn from their example so that we don’t fall into the trap of false worship and consistent rebellion? We would love the opportunity to answer any questions that you might have. As a church, we are also committed to praying for the needs of others. If there is a way that we can be praying for you, please let us know!

Seek good, and not evil,
    that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
    as you have said.
Hate evil, and love good,
    and establish justice in the gate;
it may be that the Lord, the God of hosts,
    will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

Amos 5:14-15
