The Lord of the Harvest

The Lord of the Harvest

Welcome to our time of worship here at Chapel City Church! We have come to a turning point in the book of Matthew. From the opening verses of his gospel account, Matthew has given evidence for the identity of Jesus. He has called him the son of Abraham and David. He has pointed back to the prophets of the Old Testament who spoke of his birthplace and his forerunner. We have seen Jesus teach with authority unlike the scribes of the people. We have seen him heal the sick, cast out demons, and even raise the dead. And the responses to Christ are beginning to be made clear. Some respond in faith, most respond in awe and wonder but remain unchanged. But how will Jesus respond to the crowds? What will he do to meet their greatest need? We hope that you are encouraged through the truths of God’s word. If there is a way that we can be praying for you or ministering to you during this time, please reach out and let us know!

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Matthew 9:37-38
