The Son Who Separates

The Son Who Separates

Welcome to our time of worship here at Chapel City Church. We are glad that you are with us today! As we come to the end of Matthew 25, we also come to the end of the Olivet Discourse. Jesus has spent a significant amount of time helping his disciples understand the events that surround his coming in power and glory. He has called them to be ready, because they do not know the day or the hour. And when the son comes, he comes in perfect judgment. But what does that judgement look like and who is involved? What distinguishes one person from another? And why does Jesus talk about judgment so often anyway? If you have any questions, we would love to talk with you.

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.”

Matthew 25:31-32
