The Strategy: Connect

The Strategy: Connect

We are coming into the second week where we are thinking through our church strategies. The mission statement is why we exist, the core values are those things that must characterize us, and these strategies are those practical items that gauge our faithfulness to our calling. This morning we will look at the idea of connection; the bond of relationship that goes beyond a common meeting time and moves toward a common calling and desire. What are those things that truly bind us together as believers, and what happens when that unity is present? We have to understand that connection will never be the result of having the right mix of ministries or program options. Genuine connection is based on a common faith and grounded in a common call to gospel ministry. Living with one another in humility and service allows us to bond deeply, even where there is disagreement over methods and preferences. It is our prayer that Chapel City Church is a place of meaningful connection between brothers and sisters in Christ. If you have questions, or if there is a way that we can be praying for you, please let us know!

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Philippians 2:3-4
