The Upper Room

The Upper Room

Thank you for joining us for our time of worship here at Chapel City Church. We are glad that you are here, and would love to know what questions you have or how we can be praying for you. As we continue to work through Matthew 26, we are going to come to a familiar passage. The time of preparation is over, and the passover celebration is at hand. As Jesus sits with his men at that final meal, he will both challenge and encourage them. But why is the Passover so important? How are we called to remember and respond to what Christ did nearly 2000 years ago?

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Matthew 26:26-28
