We can’t always correct our situation but we can correct our outlook. A proper perspective on what’s happening in our lives can make the difference between successfully navigating the storms of life and being overwhelmed by them. Sunday we look at 1 Peter 1:3-12 to get that fresh outlook that will transform our values, our vision, our emotions and our appreciation of what we have, even in hard times. It will give us some tools to survive the storms. Make a special effort to be with us in service.

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (I Peter 1:6-7 ESV)
