The Hope We Need to Survive

When you’re struggling it’s easy to lose hope. We spiral down into despair and wonder if we can ever get out. Sunday we look at 1 Peter 1:13-21 and realize that hope is more than wishful thinking or an optimistic attitude; it is a new heart based on God-inspired realities. These are truths that must work down into our hearts; they don’t just sit in our minds. Be sure to be in service on Sunday to see how these can be a reality in order to survive when the storm hits.

Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter‬ ‭1:13-16‬ ‭ESV‬‬)
