All for the Glory of Christ

All for the Glory of Christ

Welcome to our time of worship together. As we come to the conclusion of what has been a tumultuous year to say the least, we might not  be completely sure of where to begin 2021. Do we anticipate more of the same? Are we cautiously optimistic that things will begin to return to normal? What does the word of God say about living with certainty in uncertain times? The Apostle Peter wrote to scattered believers who had to contend with hostility toward the gospel from the outside and false teachers who threatened the church from within. As he closes his second letter, he points us toward truths that ground our understanding of who we are and what we are called to pursue as the people of God. We wait for the coming of the King, but while we wait we have been given a high and hopeful calling.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

2 Peter 3:18
