Kingdom Crumbs?

Kingdom Crumbs?

Welcome to Chapel City Church! We are so glad that you have come to worship our great God with us today. As we continue through the gospel of Matthew, we have seen Jesus come with the power of his kingdom. Although he has come to seek and save the lost, although he comes teaching and healing, there is a growing divide concerning him. As he promised, those who are his disciples slowly come to understand more and more about this King and his coming Kingdom. But those who have no interest in anything beyond a temporary healing or feeding, those who want prominence but not repentance, are growing increasingly hostile. Now, as Jesus moves through the area on the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee, we see events that seem very familiar. Why are we given another summary of familiar healings? Why do we read about the feeding of 4,000 only a chapter after the feeding of the 5,000? And how does any of this connect with that remarkable woman of faith that we met in our time of study last week? We hope that you will reach out with any questions or prayer requests that you might have. We want to know how to be praying for you and ministering to you!

And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them, so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

Matthew 15:30-31
