Living as Lights, part 4

Living as Lights, part 4

Welcome to Chapel City Church! Although we can’t gather together in person at this time, we know that God is still working in the lives of His people. The church has never been a place that we gather, but has always been the body of believers that Christ has called to Himself. That means that although the doors of the building are closed, the mission and ministry of the church has and will carry on. This week, we will look at what it means to live as lights in a dark world, specifically with regard to our love. We know that love is the defining trait of the family of God, and that the call to love impacts every other action that believers undertake. But how far is that love supposed to go? Who receives our love, and why does it matter? What does it look like to love those who we perceive as our enemies? We hope that you are encouraged and challenged by God’s word this week. Please let us know how we can be praying for you and ministering to you and with you during this time.

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:43-45a
