Welcome to our time of worship here at Chapel City Church! We are thankful that you are here with us, and we would love to know how we can be praying for you and ministering to you during this time. If there is a question or a need, please reach out and let us know! It’s no secret that there are troubles in every one of our lives. Sometimes, those struggles are with physical things like our health or our basic needs. Sometimes, trouble comes in the form of relational stress and strain. And then there are times when we are spiritually exhausted and downcast. If we are honest, most of us have wondered what God is doing at some point along the way. After all, if he wants what’s best for me, then how could this kind of pain be a part of that plan? As children of God, we know that he always does what will bring him glory and will bring us good. But how do we think in times of distress? How do I connect what I know in my head to what I believe in my heart and, ultimately, how I walk through my life?
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though some strange thing were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
