As we move into Matthew 26, we are only two days away from the Passover and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Although he has been preparing his disciples for this for quite some time, they are still slow to understand. Although the religious leaders plot and scheme, and a friend plans to betray the savior, the sovereignty of God is moving us toward the redemption planned before Adam took his first breath. When Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples, “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”
