Rejecting the Resurrection

Rejecting the Resurrection

Good morning and welcome back to Chapel City Church! We are so glad that you have joined us for worship today. As you move through your week, please reach out and let us know how we can be praying for you or coming alongside of you with regard to any needs that you might have. As we come back to Matthew 22, we will cover the second of three challenges brought to Jesus. This time, the Sadducees ask a question regarding the resurrection. But who are the Sadducees and why is their question potentially difficult? What is it that they don’t understand? How can their misunderstanding of God and the resurrection train and challenge us to sharpen our understanding of those things?

And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.

Matthew 22:31-32
