Welcome to Easter Sunday at Chapel City Church! Whether this is your church home or your first time with us, we are glad that you have joined us today. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the pivotal event in all of human history. The Son of God took on flesh and lived a sinless life. Every word, every thought, every action was perfectly pleasing to the Father. And yet, he would go to the cross to bear sins that were not his so that we might take on a righteousness that was not our own. But why is it that this exchange is so necessary? What are the promises of Easter that make this day not just memorable, but eternally significant? We hope that as we sing and study together that you know not only the familiar details of the story, but that you understand the better promises of Easter. We would love to pray with you and to answer any questions that you might have.
But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.
