The Disciple’s Directive

The Disciple’s Directive

We know that the format has changed, but we also know that the power of God, the authority of His word, and the blessing of being a part of the body of Christ remains unchanged! This week we will work through the familiar words of Matthew 5 that call disciples of Christ to be salt and light. In a world that is perishing in darkness, kingdom citizens are to be altogether distinct and different. But why did Jesus use those two word pictures? Why are salt and light so important, and how is that parallel to the call of the disciple in the world? During times like these, how can we continue to be salt and light? We hope that you are encouraged in your walk, and challenged in your obedience by this passage. If you have questions, we would love to answer them for you. If you need help, physically or spiritually, we would love to connect with you. Please reach out and let us know how we can minister to you during this time!

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16
