We are glad that you have joined us for our time of worship today. As we come into Matthew 13, we are going to work through a series of kingdom parables that Jesus gives. Two weeks ago, we worked through verses 10-17 that reminded us that these parables will reveal truth to some and conceal truth from others. This week, we are going to look at the first of those parables- The parable of the sower. Although this is a familiar passage to many of us, we need to make sure that we understand what Jesus was saying. What is the seed? What do the different soils represent? As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.
