The Lord Remembers: Giving Acceptable Gifts

The Lord Remembers: Giving Acceptable Gifts

Thank you for being with us today. Here at Chapel City Church, we want to be a people who pray with and for one another. If there is something that we can be praying about specifically, please reach out and let us know. As we approach Christmas, many of us have gift-giving on our minds. But how do we know what gifts people will appreciate? On an eternally more important scale, how do we know what gifts God will accept? What makes an offering or an action acceptable and pleasing to him? This week we will work through Zechariah 7 and 8 and are reminded that God seeks a heart of worship and obedience far above external religious actions.

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.”

Zechariah 7:9-10
