As we move through the rest of Zechariah 1 today, we will encounter the first two visions that God gives his prophet. But how should we understand them? Are they for that people in that time, or should we try to find some universal application for them? Today we are going to see the prophetic pictures that God uses to describe his perfect plan to demonstrate his faithfulness to every promise he has made to his people.
“I saw in the night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse! He was standing among the myrtle trees in the glen, and behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses. Then I said, ‘What are these, my lord?’ The angel who talked with me said to me, ‘I will show you what they are.’
