The Strategy: Reach

The Strategy: Reach

We are so glad that you are here to worship with us. Just over a month ago, we began our series on the Mission, Core Values, and Strategies of the church. While it can be difficult to piece all of these things together, understanding them will help us have a clearer idea of who we are as a church and why the Lord has placed us here. If our mission is one of calling all people to receive, demonstrate, and declare God’s transforming grace through Jesus Christ, then we need to think carefully and biblically about how that takes place. This week we will begin to look at the strategies of the church; those practical steps that we take to ensure that we are being faithful to our mission. The first of those is the idea of reaching. We can do many things, even many good things, but never actually reach people with the gospel. There are times when we struggle to put the call to evangelize into a practical framework. We will look at the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ and think through how he reached those around Him. It will require us to think, act, and speak in a way that is intentional and redemptive. We hope that you will be encouraged and challenged both in your walk and in the way that you interact with the world around you. Let us know how we can be praying for and ministering with you!

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

    What do I expect? Isaiah 55:11: “so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
    it shall not return to me empty,
    but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
    and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
    That’s what I am expecting when I speak God’s Word to believers & people who don’t believe
