Welcome to Chapel City Church. We are glad that you have joined us for worship today. We have been working through Matthew 24 as Jesus explains to his disciples the things that must happen before he establishes his kingdom. He has explained that there are a number of signs that will accompany his coming and the end of the age. But the disciples also want to know when these things will happen. We would like to know too! In the next part of the Olivet Discourse, Jesus will speak to the question of when these things will take place. His teaching might not give all of the details that his disciples want, but it does remind them that the plan is firmly fixed by the power of God. And as Christ’s people wait, we are called to be ready.
But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
