Welcome to Chapel City Church! We are so glad that you are worshipping with us today whether in person or online. For the last several months we have been working our way through the Sermon on the Mount. It’s a passage of scripture with portions that are familiar to believers and unbelievers alike. In fact, many who are not disciples of Christ still appreciate and strive toward the moral foundation of the message. But this is not a moral speech. This is not the teaching of man who is simply looking to improve the lives of his audience. This is the Son of God proclaiming the coming kingdom. And at the heart of this message is a call to action. Not simply a call to moral living, but a call to pursue the kingdom and all that comes along with it. And in the closing portion of the sermon Jesus calls for those who hear to respond. Through a series of contrasts we will see the unflinching reality that salvation is offered through Christ alone. There are two gates, but there is only ONE way…
The gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
