The Sermon in a Sentence

The Sermon in a Sentence

Thank you for worshipping with us here at Chapel City Church! At this point in the year, we are usually looking forward to the start of school, the return of sports, and various ministries kicking off. This year, our lives and calendars will look very different. We know that this is an adventure for some and a significant struggle for others. No matter where you fall on that spectrum, know that we are praying for you and that our desire is to come alongside you and your family during this time. If there is a way that we can minister to you, or meet a specific need, please reach out and let us know. One of the blessings of being a part of the body of Christ is the way that we are called and gifted to love and care for one another. But why do we do that? What is it about being a kingdom citizen that makes love such an essential element of our life and our worship? As we come to Matthew 7:12 this week, we are going to be reminded of the foundational place that love occupies in our lives, and why that has always been the case for God’s people.

So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12
