We are working through a wonderful and convicting portion of Paul’s letter to the Colossian church. Last week we saw the call to put sin to death in our lives. It is the clear and unequivocal call in the life of a believer to see their sin the way that God sees it. And that battle is one that we will fight until either the Lord returns or we are joined with Him in death. And one of the ways that we are called to fight that sin is by fleeing what is evil and pursuing what is good; putting off one thing and putting on another. This week, we will begin to look at those things that we are called to put on. What are those things that should be character traits of those in the family of God? What makes us able to respond rightly, and what are the specific things that we are called to pursue? As we go through this portion of scripture we hope that you are encouraged by your standing in Christ, and challenged to live in light of that high calling. Is there something that we can be praying for as you pursue obedience in your life? Is there a question that you have that we can help you biblically think through? We would love to walk with you as you consider these things.
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
