Character Traits of the Family of God, Part 2

Character Traits of the Family of God, Part 2

We are glad that you have come to worship with us today. The foundation for the book of Colossians has been the truth of the person and work of Jesus Christ. We have to recognize His preeminent place in all of creation so that we respond rightly in worship. We have to understand that His death on the cross and His resurrection from the grave are the only means of being in right relationship with God. But once those truths penetrate our hearts, once we respond to that glorious gospel, how are we called to live? Last week we began to look at some of those things that ought to characterize the life of a believer, and we will continue that this week. We will see how love is a defining character trait in the family of God. We will be challenged to think through how we live peacefully together. And we will come to understand how the word of God is woven into every outworking of worship in the lives of the saints. We hope that you are challenged to think deeply about God and His word. We hope that you are encouraged in your faith. If you have questions about what we are studying, or if there is a way that we can come alongside you in prayer, please let us know. We would love to hear from you!

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  Colossians 3:17
