Into the Hands of Sinner

Into the Hands of Sinner

Welcome to our time of worship here at Chapel City Church. We are glad that you have joined us. This week, we say goodbye to our middle and high school students as they leave for summer camp. This is a great reminder to be in prayer for them. Pray that the time away would allow them to focus on their relationship with the Lord. Pray that those who do not know Christ will come to saving faith, and pray that those who do know him will be strengthened in their walk. We would also ask that you pray specifically that God would bring us the right man to serve as our Youth and Family Pastor. During our time in God’s Word, we will continue through Matthew 26 and the arrest of Jesus. Christ has determined to move forward in humble obedience to the will of the Father. And now, the Son is handed over to sinners. But what does the arrest show us about Jesus? How can an act of injustice bring us to confidence and even worship? If you have any questions, or if we can be praying for you specifically, we would love to know!

At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. But all this has taken place that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.

Matthew 26:55-56
