Prepare Him Room: HOPE

Prepare Him Room: HOPE

Ready or not, Christmas is coming quickly. Sadly, most of the time we come into the season less ready than we should. We know the story, we know the songs, and we even know that the crazy isn’t what it’s all about. But we still struggle to really prepare our hearts for the celebration that Christmas ought to be. Perhaps that’s where you find yourself this week. Maybe it’s December first and you’re already behind. Maybe you are struggling with how you will afford what you know is coming. Maybe you dread the tension or heartache that always seems to come during a time that is supposed to be joyful. For the month of December, we will be working through a series called “Prepare Him Room.” Our hope is that as we focus on the faithfulness of God and the hope that is found in the coming of Christ, that your heart will be moved to worship. Not worship that is tied to the anticipation of a season, a gift, or a get together, but worship that is tied to the coming of Christ. We worship in light of the salvation made possible by that baby who was and is God with us. And we worship in light of the promise that the child that came is the king who will come again. We would love to know how we can be praying for you or ministering to you. Please reach out and let us know!

There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse,
and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
Isaiah 11:1-2

Sunday {the 1st} Heard it on your churches website. It is certainly something that we all need to cling to and remind ourselves of and share it with others. How encouraging !!
