Rejection & Remorse

Rejection & Remorse

Good morning, and welcome to our time of worship here at Chapel City Church. Last week we looked at the unjust trial of Jesus Christ before the religious leaders of Israel. Despite the lies, the Son maintained perfect obedience. He was silent, even as scripture prophesied that he would be. And when asked specifically about who he was, he spoke the only true testimony of the trial. This morning we will look at two scenes of sorrow and remorse. Although they are two pictures of failure, they have very different ending. But what makes the story of Peter so different from Judas? We would love to answer any questions that you might have, or to know how we can be praying specifically for you!

And immediately the rooster crowed. And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

Matthew 26:74-75
