The King Comes into His City

The King Comes into His City

As we come into our “new normal,” this week we are confronted with celebrating very traditional times in a very non-traditional way. We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper together, although we cannot physically be together. We will remember Palm Sunday and the entry of Christ into Jerusalem, but we cannot be together to sing His praise. Perhaps this will give us a chance to look at familiar passages with fresh eyes. This week we will take the opportunity to see how the coming of Christ into Jerusalem was a fulfillment of Old Testament, and we will see how it prepares us for His second coming in power and glory. If there are ways that we can be praying for you or ministering to you during this time, please reach out and let us know!

As he was drawing near—already on the way down the Mount of Olives—the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”   Luke 19:37-38
