The Lord is Our Keeper

The Lord is Our Keeper

We are so glad that you are worshipping with us today. This week, we will work through Psalm 121, a reminder to God’s people of his constant help and protection. We live in a time of constant change and even threats. As we look at the world around us, it would seem that there are many reasons to be in fear. The people of Israel knew what it was to live under threats, both internal and external. Psalm 121 is a reminder of the presence and the protection of God. But how does he keep his people? How does knowing what God is like bring comfort and confidence to those that he calls his own? We hope that you are encouraged by the truth of God’s word, and that you will reach out and let us know how we can be praying for you during this time.

My Help Comes from the Lord
A Song of Ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the hills.
    From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
    he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;

    the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,

    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all evil;

    he will keep your life.

The Lord will keep

    your going out and your coming in

    from this time forth and forevermore.

Psalm 121
