We have spent the fall season working through our church mission, values, and strategies. This has been an important season as we are called to be a people who are of one mind, united in our purpose. We need to understand who we are, where we are going, and how we will get there. We are now coming into our final strategy- serve. This is a big topic and we will take a couple of weeks to work through it. When we think about service, what comes to our mind? Is it a specific function carried out by specific people? Is there a time and place that service is dedicated to, or is there a broader understanding? At Chapel City Church, our conviction is that all believers have been gifted by God. Because believers have been entrusted with these gifts, it is a matter of obedience that we use them to build up the body. This week, we will think through our motivation for service and what things are necessary to be obedient in our service. We hope that you are encouraged in your faith and challenged to grow in your understanding and response. If there is a way that we can be praying for you, please let us know!
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1
