Worship & Warning

Worship & Warning

We are thankful that you have joined us this week! The weather is still warm, but summer is definitely winding down. Kids are back in school, ministries are starting up again, and the pace of life seems to be picking up again for many of us. One of the great blessings of the Psalms is their ability to remind us of what truly matters. While life is constantly changing, while schedules and responsibilities are constantly changing, while we seem to be constantly changing, the Psalms point us back to the unchanging God who made us. This week we will be looking at Psalm 95, a Psalm of worship and warning. God demands and deserves our worship because of who He is. And beyond that, we can joyfully praise Him for what He has done for us. But what happens when we refuse to give God the worship that He is due? How can we think rightly, even when things aren’t the way that we think they should be? We hope that you are challenged and encouraged as you worship with us today. If there are questions that we can answer, or ways that we can be praying for you, we would love to hear them!

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand. Psalm 95:6-7
