The King’s Testing

The King’s Testing

As we come together to worship, we hope that you are encouraged in your walk and challenged to live a life of submission and obedience to Christ. This week, we will begin to open up Matthew chapter 4. The King has been presented and the Father has testified that this is the beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. Now, it is time for the King to be tested. Jesus is led into the wilderness where Satan will attempt to disqualify him from his ordained task of redemption. But why did the devil tempt Jesus in the way that he did? How does this passage help us understand who Jesus is and what He accomplished? Does the temptation of Jesus shed light on how to think about and respond to those temptations that we face in our lives? We would love to answer any questions that you might have, or to know how we can be praying for you this week. Please reach out and let us know!

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Matthew 4:1
