Weary, Waiting, & Worshipping

Weary, Waiting, & Worshipping

This is the time of year when we celebrate the entrance of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. It was a time of longing and expectation. After centuries of waiting, it seemed as though the deliverer had finally come to Jerusalem! But it wasn’t the kind of deliverer that the people expected. And by the end of the week the shouts of “Hosanna to the Son of David” gave way to calls of “Crucify him.” And now, we find ourselves waiting again. Waiting for Christ to come. Waiting for the savior to come once more to his people. But waiting is hard. How can we wait with anticipation rather than despair? How can a weary people be drawn to hope and even worship? We would love to know how we can be praying for you, and whether there are questions we can answer.

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

Hebrews 12:3
